What is an Organic Breeding?

Organic breeding aims at respecting the animal welfare, the environment and the final consumer, with a guarantee for the highest quality of production.

Due to the new cooking and nutrition trends arising nowadays, consumers care more and more about the quality and origin of the products they buy, as a consequence of this behavior the consumption of organic meat has increased. For this reason, organic breeding products are certified through a rigid and meticulous control system that guarantees the respect of the norms of this production method.

A product can be certified and labeled as “organic food”, only if it satisfies a series of precise requirements. The whole process of products’ transformation, production, conservation, storage and sale has to follow the organic method, under the control of the Entities that verify the respect of the norms. Even the raw material undergoes severe checks, therefore, one of the necessary requirements is the certified origin from organic agricultural firms.

The livestock relies on the land for its nutrition, as much as the land relies on the livestock for the precious nourishing elements that it gives to the soil, improving its quality.

Unlike intensive farming, organic breeding allows animals to have the suitable space to move freely.

Livestock transport has to be as short as possible.

It is developed in order not to stress animals, therefore, loading and unloading operations are carried out without violence and with no sedatives during the journey.
